Belgian photojournalist Alain Schroeder won “Best Single Image” FOCUS ON THE STORY FESTIVAL in Washington for this image of a blood-splattered father and son taken during
the Ashura ceremonial procession in Hyderabad, India and won Best Series (tie) for Who will save the Rohingya?

His work will be on exhibit at the Focus on the Story International Photo Festival, Washington, D.C., June 7-10
