Les trois dernières photos, trouvées sur le site de la Cité Miroir (mais sans copyright ?), sont assez émouvantes pour moi. Les hasards de l’existence font que j’ai appris à nager dans cette piscine vers l’âge de 6-7 ans et que pendant des années je suis venu chaque semaine, à l'époque où cette photo a été prise, avec mon école (Saint-Rémy à Saint-Walburge) à pied aller-retour +- 4,5 km. Evidemment je reconnais les détails de la façade de l’entrée sur le boulevard de la Sauvenière et la gare des bus en-dessous où on allait parfois acheter des hot-dogs avec de la choucroute et des cornichons. A l’intérieur c’était une véritable vie au bord de la picine. Dans l’eau à droite et à gauche on se reposait et on papotait souvent trop au lieu de nager, certain était là pour draguer les filles comme ce garçon assi à droite sur le bord de la piscine (j’étais encore trop jeune ;-), les mamans dans les gradins, les autres en haut, à la cafet après la piscine, bref un petit village dans la ville.
